Mariah Carey feat. Boyz II Men: One Sweet Day

Boyz II Men
Sorry I never told you
All I wanted to say
Now it's too late to hold you
'Cause you've flown away
So far away

Mariah
Never had I imagined
Living without your smile
Feeling and knowing you hear me
It keeps me alive
Alive

Together
And I know you're shining down on me from heaven
Like many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
One sweet day

Boyz II Men
Darling I never showed you
Assumed you'd always be there
Took your presence for granted
But I always cared
And I miss the love we shared

Together
And I know you're shining down on me from heaven

Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
One sweet day

Boyz II Men
Although the sun will shine the same
I'll always look to a brighter day

Mariah
Lord I know when I lay me down to sleep
You will always listen as I pray

Together
And I know you're shining on me from heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'd be together
One sweet day

And I know you're shining on me from heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'd be together
One sweet day

Mariah
Sorry I never told you
Together
All I wanted to say

Wikipedia: One Sweet Day
"One Sweet Day" is a song by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey and R&B group Boyz II Men. The song was written by Carey, Walter Afanasieff and the members of Boyz II Men: Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, Nathan Morris, and Michael McCary. "One Sweet Day" was produced by Carey and Afanasieff for her fifth studio album Daydream, and was released as the album's second single on November 14, 1995. The song is about losing a loved one, and eventually seeing them, once again, in heaven one day, and how the protagonist took their presence for granted and misses them. Both Carey and Boyz II Men wrote the song about specific people in their lives to include sufferers of the AIDS epidemic so globally prevalent at the time.

Released on October 3, 1995 by Columbia Records as the follow up to her internationally successful album, Music Box (1993) and holiday album Merry Christmas (1994), Daydream is slightly different from Music Box and Merry Christmas as it leaned increasingly towards contemporary R&B and hip hop and features less of a pure pop sound.
